WSMV: Nashville Skating Academy Molds Next Generation of Olympic Hopefuls

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - In the early hours of the morning, some of the most talented figure skaters in the country flock to Centennial Sportsplex in Nashville to train with Nashville Skating Academy.

“I guess my overall goal is to win the Olympics,” Lexi White, a pairs skater with the club, said.

White is one of nine athletes from Nashville Skating Academy who received an invitation to the U.S. Figure Skating National Development Camp, which is a pipeline program for many athletes who eventually end up on the U.S. National Team.

The camp took place in January in St. Louis, immediately following the U.S. Championships, which ultimately set the figure skating roster for Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
